Before you call, a few quick checks sometimes solve the problem — and if they don't, we're ready to help.
No Heat?
- Check the thermostat — set to HEAT, temperature above room temp, fresh batteries.
- Check the furnace switch — the wall switch near the furnace should be ON.
- Check the filter — a clogged filter can shut a furnace down. Replace if dirty.
- Check the breaker — reset if tripped.
- Check the furnace door — most furnaces won't run if the panel isn't seated.
- Condensate line (high-efficiency furnaces) — a full or frozen drain can trip a safety switch.
Still no heat? Call (810) 308-1498.
No Cooling?
- Thermostat — set to COOL, below room temp.
- Filter — a dirty filter chokes airflow and can freeze the coil.
- Breakers — both indoor and outdoor units have power.
- Outdoor unit — clear of leaves and debris; fan should be spinning.
- Frozen coil — if you see ice, turn the system OFF and let it thaw, then call us.
Strange Noises, Smells or Short-Cycling?
These usually mean it's time for a professional look. Turn the system off if you smell burning or gas (and if you smell gas, leave and call your utility), and call us right away.
Safety first: never bypass a safety switch or attempt repairs involving gas or electrical components. That's what we're here for.
